Hope that you are already aware of Digital India Movement! A govt of India plan to digitize the govt machinery. This will surely help the masses and will ease the day to day transactions between govt and public.
There are massive plans by Govt of India to digitize the various platforms. Work is already in progress at departmental level. One of the best example of Digitize India platform is Digilocker.
Purpose of Digital India movement is to bring all the documents of public domain online and make those available to general public. This means all the data from paper work will be migrated in electronic format. There are millions of documents which need to be converted from paper format to electronic. It will take years to convert the documents if solely done by govt as volume of data is gigantic and resources are limited. Also the work can not be outsourced to private agencies due to too high costs involved.
Govt of India has came up with a very good idea to get the work done. Yes! Digitize India Platform.
This is a unique platform where countrymen can get involved and help govt. Users need to register on Digitize India Portal and they will start getting snippets of work on regular basis. For every snippet converted, they will get points. These points can be en-cashed to bank account.
Here is the process basic flow:
- Register on Digitize India Portal
- Start getting snippets (small portions of scanned pages)
- Complete the conversion
- Get reward points (1 point = 2 Paise)
- Transfer reward points to to your bank account as money (minimum threshold is 2500 points)
Reward point depend on total snippets converted and the speed of typing. On an average with typing speed of 60 wpm around 5000-6000 snippets can be easily converted. This will earn you around 100 rupees. So by working for 3-4 hours a day, one can easily make approx. 400 rupees per day. So if you are a housewife, student, a shopkeeper, freelancer then you can easily earn around 12-15k per month. Moreover govt will recognize your efforts.
